Many homeowners not only have a master bathroom, but are choosing to [incorporate ‘wellness rooms’ into their home design, including different wellness-boosting elements like steam](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/steam-showers-101-how-to-turn-a-bathroom-into-a-wellness-retreat),” says **Suzi Mullins**, manager at the Hajoca Solana kitchen and bath showroom. The company was founded as European Bath in 2000, and acquired by the [Hajoca Corporation](https://www.hajoca.com/) in 2009.  >> See [Selling Steam the European Bath & Kitchen Way With Suzi Mullins](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/bid/343969/Selling-Steam-the-European-Bath-Kitchen-Way-With-Suzi-Mullins) ![Explore European Bath Hajoca Solana steam showroom in San Diego, CA](https://blog.mrsteam.com/hs-fs/hubfs/images/Hajoca-IMG_2919_650x433.jpg?width=650&name=Hajoca-IMG_2919_650x433.jpg "Explore European Bath Hajoca Solana steam showroom in San Diego, CA") Today, Hajoca Solana is one of 700 plumbing and heating locations throughout the U.S. and Canada that are part of the Hajoca Corporation. ## Steam and Wellness on Vacation Inspire Steam at Home When it comes to health-conscious decisions, diet and exercise are often the first topics that come to mind. Steam has countless health benefits, but may be something you’ve only experienced at the gym or spa. “The idea of adding steam to a wellness routine often comes from people travelling and enjoying steam in their leisure time, like on vacation or at the spa,” explains Mullins. >> See [Vacation with MrSteam](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/vacation-with-mrsteam) The [wellness attributes of steam are numerous](http://www.mrsteam.com/benefits-of-steam), enticing clients to incorporate an in-home steam shower so they can experience all of these benefits in the privacy of their own home. >> [Take advantage of steam with Steam Bathing 101: Seven Steps for an Effective Steam Bath](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/bid/338352/Steam-Bathing-101-Seven-Steps-For-an-Effective-Steam-Bath) Steam showers are the perfect element to incorporate into home design whether for new construction or just a bathroom remodel, especially when a client is concerned with staying healthy naturally. With countless therapeutic benefits, steam is a logical addition to any wellness routine. And instead of going all the way to the gym or spa for your steam fix, you can enjoy the relaxing, restorative advantages that installing a home steam shower offers. >> See [Physical Therapist Praises the Benefits of Steam](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/physical-therapist-praises-benefits-of-steam) ## Consider Steam for a Guest Shower on an Affordable Budget Mullins continues that although about half of Hajoca Solana’s steam shower installations are done in high-end, luxury homes, steam can be installed just about anywhere and with many types of budgets. “We sometimes suggest installing steam in a guest shower as it is a smaller space making it more affordable” she explains. She notes that there are many decisions that come with installing steam in your own home. Besides the obvious technical, structural and cosmetic decisions, Hajoca makes suggestions to clients on how to design their showers for optimal use. “If you have a longer and narrower shower you can install a long bench to lie down during your steam session. This is something I always recommend to maximize comfort,” says Mullins. She also recommends popular accessories to further enhance the steam experience. >> See [Top 10 Considerations Before Installing a Steam Shower](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/top-10-considerations-before-installing-a-steam-shower) “Add-ons like [AromaSteam](http://www.mrsteam.com/aromasteam-system) and [MusicTherapy](http://www.mrsteam.com/ms-speakers) speakers are very popular,” she adds. “Music is relaxing. The MrSteam [AudioWizard](http://www.mrsteam.com/audiowizard) is a great addition because people can create their own playlists in accordance with their desired experience, whether it is for a boost of energy in the morning or to calm down and relax at night.” >> [See Why Music and SteamTherapy Belong Together](https://blog.mrsteam.com/archive/why-music-and-steamtherapy-belong-together) ![At Hajoca Solana in San Diego, CA, you can explore how to add a steam shower to your home](https://blog.mrsteam.com/hs-fs/hubfs/images/Hajoca-IMG_2922_650x433.jpg?width=650&name=Hajoca-IMG_2922_650x433.jpg "At Hajoca Solana in San Diego, CA, you can explore how to add a steam shower to your home") ## Incorporate Health and Wellness into your Overall Life with a Steam Shower More homeowners are looking to incorporate elements into home design that aid their quest to stay healthy.
