How MrSteam Transformed My Vocal and Self-Care Routine

Written by Aijia Grammer, Singer and Songwriter | Wed, Oct 01, 2025

As a singer and speaker, my voice is one of my most important tools — and taking care of it is the whole job. But in the process of protecting my vocal health, I discovered something I wasn’t expecting: my steam shower became the focus of my entire self-care routine.

Every day, I start by turning on my steam shower with my AirTempo control from MrSteam. With its easy, intuitive operation, the steam fills the space and I step in and calm my energy. It’s where I do my vocal warm-ups, focus on deep breathing, and give my body and my mind a moment to reset. The steam helps keep my vocal cords hydrated and flexible, which has made a huge difference in how I perform, speak, and even recover after long days.

But beyond vocal wellness, I’ve noticed some real glow-up moments. My skin has never been clearer or more hydrated. It’s like a facial without ever leaving the house.

One of my favorite hacks that I’ve never heard anyone mention from steam is that I’ll apply a hair mask or leave-in conditioner before stepping in, and the steam helps the product absorb so much better, especially for curly hair. My hair comes out softer, shinier, and way more manageable.

What started as a functional tool for work has become one of the most grounding parts of my day. My steam shower is now my space to breathe, pause, and take care of myself. It’s my “Me Time.”

What I love about MrSteam is that they design their products with well-being at the core. If you’re someone who uses your voice professionally, or you just want to elevate your self-care game, I genuinely can’t recommend MrSteam enough. If water is life, then so is steam.
