Coach JoAnna Burks and her client, Martha Orellana, had the design and construction industry in common when Martha first started working with "Coach B." a few years ago. While Martha continued on in the field as VP of sales and marketing for MrSteam, JoAnna left the building industry to focus on a new career of making people feel good through a healthy lifestyle.
JoAnna first entered a gym when her construction business was gravely threatened by the housing recession and she found herself sinking fast into depression. "I had stepped up and owned my situation instead of being a victim to it," JoAnna writes of that time on her website. "And the Universe was rewarding me with clarity and energy."

Coach B. shared ten strategies for keeping up with a healthy lifestyle during evening business and social events. She recommended that MrSteam team members maintain a regular eating schedule.
In fact, scheduling eating, exercise, sleep and mindful gratefulness are pillars to Coach B.'s practice. She works with her clients to develop a master plan that is similar to project management goals for work-related excellence. "It's as simple as arranging the balance of sleep, hydration, fuel, stress relief and gratitude," she says. "The shortest, fastest way to increase the profitability and sustainability of your business is not through devoting additional hours at work. It's through investing in yourself."
