We're in the thick of the holiday season and chances are... you may need to revitalize a bit before celebrating the New Year. If that's the case, we have 2 SteamTherapy Tips for you to try together, separate or even one after the other and - ideally - with steam as a backdrop!
Cold winter weather, dry indoor spaces and too much going on can contribute to your hair feeling dry.
Try a rich avocado treatment for your hair, ideally in your own home steam shower.
This rich avocado treatment includes just two ingredients:
>> Avocado + Coconut MilkAvocado offers amazing benefits (see 25 Amazing Benefits and Uses of Avocado for Skin, Hair and Health and Avocados offer remarkable benefits for skin health) and is recommended for its hydrating benefits and proteins.
For this rich avocado treatment, try the following:
Comb the fragrant avocado and coconut mixture through hair with your fingertips.
Cover your hair with a shower cap or wrap a towel around it to seal in the treatment.
Leave in for 10 – 15 minutes, then rinse.
For more of an impact, combine steam with your rich avocado hair treatement. Simply allow the avocado treatment to soak into your hair while you enjoy a soothing steam bath.
The steam can help to open pores and hydrate your body while the avocado works on your hair.
When you're finished, unwrap your hair and thoroughly rinse out the avocado mixture to reveal soft, silky hair.
Have you tried a mineral mud mask? It's something you can apply to your face as well as to your body.
Mineral-rich muds, collected from therapeutic thermal waters, are infused with nourishing vitamins and minerals. Massaged onto the face and body before you step into your steam shower, these muds help to exfoliate, cleanse impurities and re-hydrate, leaving soft, supple skin.
Here's how to create your own mineral mud mask:
Take 3/4 cup powdered mud or clay (bentonite or green, available at health food stores)
3/4 cup noncarbonated mineral water
2 tablespoons powdered seaweed (Irish moss)
Mix ingredients together to form a paste.
Apply this natural clay/mud pack to your face and body and let dry for 10 to 20 minutes.
Rinse with warm water.
